Help
Frequently asked
Everything people ask us before their first piece.
- Are the stones really collected by your family?
- Yes. Every stone is hand-collected by our family on the beach in Sea Isle City, New Jersey. Nothing is bought, imported, or tumbled from a supplier.
- What does “one of one” mean?
- Each piece is made from a single stone that only exists once, so inventory is capped at one unit. When a piece sells, it moves to our sold archive and is never remade.
- How do you know what type of stone it is?
- We describe stones as likely identifications based on visual characteristics of the shore where we collect. We do not laboratory-test stones and never claim confirmed mineral identity.
- Are the heart-shaped stones carved?
- Never. A heart stone arrived that way — an original break at the right angle, then years of surf rounding the edges. We do not carve, grind or shape our hearts.
- What metals do you use?
- We name materials exactly. Gold-tone means plated wire or bails, not solid gold. Where we use sterling silver or gold-filled components, the product page says so explicitly.
- Will my piece look exactly like the photo?
- Yes — every listing photograph is the actual piece you receive, because there is only one of it.
- How fast do you ship?
- Orders leave New Jersey within 3 business days. Full details are on our shipping and returns page.
- Do you take custom requests?
- Sometimes. The shore decides what we have, so we can't promise a specific stone — but tell us what you're hoping for and we'll watch for it.
