Why we keep finding heart-shaped stones
We never carve them. The ocean does the work, and we have learned to walk slower.
HEART STONES — a handful of hearts
The first one felt like luck. The fifth one felt like something else.
Heart-shaped stones form the way every beach stone forms: an original break, then years of surf softening the edges. What makes them rare is that the break has to happen at the right angle, and the water has to round it without erasing the shape.
We do not shape, carve, or grind our hearts. If a stone is heart-shaped, it arrived that way. That is the whole point.
Every heart we find goes into Heart Tides — usually as a gift piece, because that is what people reach for it for.
